I found this place different from other white sand beaches. This place is not well known to tourists who are coming for the first time so it will be less crowded. Usually, people who are staying in the Aloha resort come down to this place as it is closer and more visible from the resort. I went there in the afternoon and literally no one was there. It was very peace to just sit there and enjoy the mountains. You can find this place on google maps here.
This place is close to my heart as I come here every morning for a run. It's a beautiful walkway along River Ganga. There are places to sit and enjoy the view of mountains and the river. I recommend coming in the morning hours for a run. Although it will be a little crowded in the morning, you would love the cool breeze and clouds over the mountains. Check out this place on maps.
At first, this place seems to offer nothing. It's just a ruin of an ashram which was quite a happening place in the 1960s. The place got famous because beetles stayed here for over a month. I visited this place in the afternoon and roam around for 2 hour. This place offers interesting spots to chill. I sat with my friends listening to Beetles music for the first time. Rishikesh offers many waterfall sites for tourists. The only issue is that those places are always crowded and littered which spoils the whole trip. The waterfall which I shared here is lesser know to tourists. Its a small stream of water flowing surrounded by a deep forest just 15 minutes from Tapovan. Do check this place out.
